Do you love pets and people too? We may have the job for you! We are looking for a full-time Veterinary Nurse Assistant who excel in customer service.
We are a busy, 1 doctor, AAHA accredited, full-service small animal hospital, with an emphasis to provide high quality, compassionate, pain free pet care and excellent customer service. We strive to keep up with the most current advances in veterinary medicine and are seeking skilled individuals to become part of our amazing team.
General job duties includes, but not limited to: Extensive cleaning of kennel area(s), maintain a clean kennel area(s), transfer animals in hospital setting, general care of hospitalized animals, assist doctor, technicians and customer service representatives as needed, clean hospital and waiting room daily.
Other duties include but are not limited to: general nursing care, restraint, taking medical histories, preparing medication, blood draws, preparing lab samples, placing IV catheters, taking radio-graphs, anesthesia and anesthesia monitoring, client interaction, educating clients, checking in and out patients, answering phone calls, setting appointments, managing client questions and requests, making outgoing calls, filing, cash handling, organizing and numerous other duties.
The right person will have to be able to pay attention to and remember details, have a desire to be helpful, be accurate and complete with information, multitask, and approach every situation with a smile and positive attitude.
