Location: Warm Springs
Primary responsibilities of the position are to engage in the preparation and implementation of the fuels treatment, prescribed fire and wildland fire monitoring process. Work involves activities related to fuels data management and analysis, fuels inventory and monitoring, layout of treatment units and fire suppression, and working as part of a seasonal crew performing fieldwork.
Requirements:
Must maintain a valid Oregon’s driver’s license and be insurable under CTWS.
Must be able to pass a medical exam and arduous pack test.
Qualifies as fire effects monitor or qualify within 2 years of hire date.
Qualify as FFT2 or within 18 months of hire date and take the S-290.
Must submit and pass a criminal background check with Federal, Tribal and State Law Enforcement.
Must also pass a pre-employment alcohol and drug screening.
