Dog Rescue & Sanctuary Receptionist

If you’re a dog lover with great customer service skills who enjoys interacting with people and managing basic administrative duties, this could be your dream job. Grammy Rose Dog Rescue & Sanctuary, located in Acton, Maine, is looking for a dependable, outgoing, receptionist to work in the campus welcome center. This is a critical position for our campus as the receptionist is an ambassador for callers, potential adopters and visitors to our 70-acre campus. Grammy Rose Dog Rescue & Sanctuary is a non-profit that rescues adoptable dogs from euthanasia and matches them with forever families.
Required Skills:
· At least one year of public-facing customer service; previous receptionist experience a plus
· Exceptional customer service and written/oral communication skills
· Ability to manage people and situations, multi-task and ensure things run smoothly in a positive manner in a busy environment
· Basic knowledge of computers and basic software
· Ability to work independently and proactively
· Strong organizational skills
Essential Job Duties:
· Answer incoming telephone calls – handle basic inquiries and triage calls from potential dog adopters; speak confidently about dogs available for adoption and adoption procedures
· Schedule adoption appointments
· Greet and assist potential adopters, volunteers, and other campus visitors
· Assist guests with gift shop purchases and maintain product stock
· Accept and log in-kind and financial donations and send thank you correspondence
· Assist with dog adoptions
· Assist with maintaining dog management data
· Assist with preparations needed for new dogs arriving on campus
· Ensure welcome center is always clean, tidy and “public ready”
· Other duties as requested

Pay: $18.00 – $20.00 per hour
