Canine To Five is seeking energetic dog lovers to work at our busy dog daycare and boarding facility in Ferndale, MI. We are looking for the right person to support both our furry and human clients.
We are looking for full-time (30+ hrs/week), including two weekends a month.
No experience is necessary—just a positive attitude, strong work ethic, quick learner, and love for dogs!

POSITION SUMMARY
This position will be a combination of the roles listed below:
The Front Desk Associate (internally known as a Client Experience Rep) is the friendly face clients see when entering the facility and is essential for client retention. This role requires a friendly, caring professional who remembers faces, maintains a positive attitude, and is skilled in up-selling services. Responsibilities include accepting payments, clerical work related to clients and dogs, safely escorting dogs throughout the facility, and other projects as assigned.
The Pack Leader ensures safe group play for all dogs, demonstrating sound decision-making, enthusiasm, confidence, and comfort working independently with various breeds and sizes. This role is ideal for someone with a good memory and interest in dog behavior and safety.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
At least 18 years of age
Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays
Detailed cleaning including vacuuming, mopping, wiping, and scrubbing
Ability to lift 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, walk, run, bend, and reach
Basic computer skills
Excellent decision-making, self-awareness, and time management skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
A genuine love of working with and caring for dogs
Self-confidence around all breeds and sizes of dogs
Exposure to odors, animal waste, bites, scratches, and contagious diseases
Ability to manage high-stress situations in a fast-paced environment
Personal accountability regarding attendance, dress code, cell phone policy, etc.
Positive attitude and engagement in daily operations
Openness to coaching and learning new skills
Year-round outdoor exposure, including extreme weather conditions
