We are looking for an experienced Fractional Operations Manager to join our leadership team on an initial 3-month contract (with potential to extend).
The role will focus on strengthening operational excellence across our existing practices in Bristol and Reading, while supporting the successful growth and operational readiness of two new practices in Eastleigh, Surbiton and beyond.
This is a hands-on transformation role for someone who can quickly assess current operations, identify opportunities for improvement, implement practical solutions, and build sustainable operating rhythms across the business.
Key Objectives:
During the initial sprint of work this role will complete:
– Full operations audit, review organisation design and functionality.
– Establish and implement internal communications and operating rhythms. This will include practice level communication and governance.
– With alignment to the CEO you’ll partner closely to strengthen reporting and business performance.
– You’ll also deliver leadership, coaching and support to our Clinical Operations Team.
Deliverables
– A comprehensive operational audit and recommendations report.
– A documented future-state operating model.
– Clearly defined roles and responsibilities across operational teams and wider business with support from cross functional team members,
– Standardised reporting dashboards and performance metrics.
– Structured communication and governance processes.
– Practice meeting framework with templates and clear outputs.
– Operational improvement plan with prioritised actions and ownership.
– Improved management & delivery capability within the Clinical Operations Lead team.
Ideal Experience:
We're looking for someone who has:
- Significant experience as an operations manager, area manager or fractional COO
- Experience scaling multi-site healthcare, dental, veterinary, optical or other regulated service businesses.
- Strong operational transformation and process improvement expertise.
- Experience designing organisational structures and operating models.
- Commercial acumen with a strong understanding of profitability, KPIs and operational reporting.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence senior leaders.
- A pragmatic, hands-on approach with a track record of delivering change quickly.
Contract:
- Fractional contract (at least 2 to 3 days per week).
- Initial term of 3 months, with potential extension.
- Hybrid working from home with regular travel to Bristol and Reading as required.
- Reporting directly to the CEO.
