Role Description
This is a full-time role for a Formulations & Compliance Manager at Nutribio Ltd. The manager will be responsible for overseeing the formulation of animal nutrition products and ensuring compliance with industry regulations. The role is based across the two Nutribio sites in Cork, in both Tivoli and Little Island, but some work from home is acceptable. Day-to-day tasks include managing raw materials, formulation development, overseeing packaging, and ensuring quality standards are met.
Role and Responsibilities
Ensure legislative compliance of all animal health and nutrition products produced by the company, and maintain constant updates in line with changes in both EU regulations and national legislation.
Implement day to day changes / adjustments of product formulations using current software tools, and formulating new products as required.
Manage the introduction and approval of new ingredients and products, ensuring compliance with legislative, health and safety, and company-specific procedures
Maintenance of cost structures in the formulation software package, and provision of quotations for sales team
Working with Operations and Procurement to ensure suitability of raw materials to be used in the Nutribio facilities, providing guidance on powder properties and performance within the production plant.
Working with Operations and Quality teams to manage risk and minimise cross contamination in the production facility in terms of scheduling and product categorisation.
Maintaining/Updating SOP’s in line with current best practice and company needs.
Facilitate internal and external training courses on legislation and compliance with national and international regulations on animal feed.
Other relevant duties as agreed with the Technical Manager
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Experience or knowledge of legislation & compliance requirements in the food or animal feed sectors is essential
A BSc in Animal Nutrition and experience using formulation software packages is desirable
Experience of working in a feed mill or animal nutrition production environment is desirable
Knowledge of powder properties and the practical application of the impact of powder characteristics desirable
Experienced and highly proficient user of Microsoft Office
