Role Description FOOD & BEVERAGE SERVICE STEWARDS at Phinui support daily operations in the dining and service areas, including preparing service stations, setting tables, and ensuring all items are clean and ready for guests. Stewards assist in serving food and beverages, respond to guest requests, and maintain high standards of hygiene and presentation. They coordinate with kitchen and service teams to ensure smooth service flow, clear and reset tables efficiently, and support stock replenishment and basic cleaning tasks. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Nairobi County, Kenya, requiring flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated skills in Food Service and Food & Beverage operations, with an understanding of basic service standards.
- Strong Customer Service and Communication skills, with the ability to interact courteously and professionally with guests and colleagues.
- Basic Culinary Skills and familiarity with menu items to assist guests and support the kitchen and service teams effectively.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, stand for extended periods, and handle physical tasks such as lifting and carrying.
- Attention to detail, reliability, and commitment to maintaining hygiene, safety, and cleanliness standards.
- Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant service is an advantage but not mandatory.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional hospitality training or certification is a plus.
