Position Type and Hours

Classification: Non-Exempt
Schedule: Full-time (Five 8-hour shifts per week)
Additional Hours: Overtime may be required based on operational needs
Location: We prefer candidates who are local and do not require relocation.
Work Authorization: At this time, we are unable to provide sponsorship.

Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Analysis & Reporting:

Analyze hospital revenue and cost trends to identify areas for improvement and growth.
Generate financial reports and dashboards to highlight performance metrics, cost-saving opportunities, and operational improvements.
Assist in conducting shift-level cost analysis to optimize staffing and resource allocation.
Evaluate service line profitability (e.g., surgeries, diagnostics, pharmacy) to identify high-margin opportunities and recommend pricing adjustments.
Develop and refine processes to improve revenue reporting and forecasting accuracy.
Track and present key performance indicators (KPIs), such as revenue per client visit and average shift costs, to leadership.
Collaborate with leadership to align financial insights with hospital goals and strategic initiatives.
Recommend actionable financial strategies to enhance profitability and operational efficiency.
Perform administrative and financial support tasks, including record-keeping, expense tracking, payments, and payroll assistance.

Additional Responsibilities:

Communication & Collaboration: Clearly present financial insights and analyses to the hospital manager and leadership team to facilitate informed decision-making.
Professionalism & Work Ethic: Adhere to professional accounting and financial reporting standards, ensuring accuracy and data integrity.
Promptness & Reliability: Consistently meet financial reporting deadlines while maintaining a dependable presence in critical financial operations.
Leadership & Initiative: Identify cost-saving opportunities, revenue growth initiatives, and process improvements to enhance financial performance and efficiency.
Training & Development: Continuously expand knowledge of the veterinary emergency hospital industry, including financial drivers, operational workflows, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
Experience in financial analysis or a similar role.
Understanding of operational metrics and cost analysis in a medical or veterinary environment.
Preferred experience in financial modeling, scenario planning, and data-driven decision-making.
Proficiency in financial tools and software, such as Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent visualization tools (preferred).
Prior experience in financial analysis within healthcare, veterinary, or hospital operations is a plus.
