Our client is a leading company operating in the fuel and gas sector, involved in the supply and distribution of jet fuel and gas products. They are seeking a competent and detail-oriented Finance & Accounting Officer to support financial operations, reporting, invoicing, taxation, payroll and compliance activities while ensuring accurate and timely financial records.
Key Responsibilities / Job Description
- Prepare sales invoices for clients based on Delivery Certificates (DC) and Delivery Tickets (DT).
- Prepare monthly cash expenditure reports and budgets for the following month.
- Prepare and send Tally invoices, EFDs and manual tax invoices to fuel clients and Head Office as required.
- Prepare monthly payroll using Excel.
- Generate ZSSF bills through the ZSSF portal.
- Prepare withholding tax whenever payments are made to suppliers.
- Collect, review and verify supplier invoices before submission to Head Office for payment settlement.
- Prepare and submit monthly sales volume reports to ZAO for concession invoicing.
- File returns for jet fuel shipments and gas sales through the ZRA portal.
Requirements / Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related field.
- Proven experience in finance and accounting functions, preferably within the fuel, gas, logistics or related industry.
- Good knowledge of invoicing, payroll preparation, reconciliations and financial reporting.
- Practical knowledge of TRA and ZRA tax compliance requirements and online portals.
- Knowledge of PAYE, NSSF, ZSSF and withholding tax processes.
- Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
