Position: Field Technician I
FIELD TECHNICIAN I
SUMMARY
The Field Technician I is accountable for collecting client samples from oil and gas wells and facilities within their assigned region.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Collect samples from oil/gas wells and facilities following Core Lab standard operating procedures.
Respond to client concerns and requests.
Train to become proficient in specialized sampling.
Maintain field vehicle in good working order such as routine servicing, cleaning and maintenance.
Carry out field analysis and sampling as per “Field Services Standard Operating Procedures and Forms.”
Conversant with analytical services provided by Core Laboratories and those required by the client.
Comply with all health, safety and quality management system requirements of Core Lab and those of the Clients.
Maintain communication with the Calgary and Edmonton laboratories. Inform supervisor of incidents with field equipment, trucks and sampling.
Able to commit to overtime.
EDUCATION
College graduate or related industry experience
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Problem solving skills
Mechanical aptitude
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Valid and clean driver’s license
