Position Summary
The position requires a minimum of 40+ hours per week. Applicants will receive on‑the‑job training for required skills and continuing education opportunities. Responsibilities include managing customers’ aquatic resources through regularly scheduled seasonal visits, performing pesticide applications, water quality enhancement, aeration, and other practices. Employees engage in thorough data entry and processing, providing detailed information on aquatic management, analyze customers’ needs, and provide technical support for products sold.
Additional duties involve seasonal installation and removal of pond aeration equipment and maintenance of fleet vehicles and application equipment.
Essential Duties
- Focus heavily on commercial aquatic applications within the pond management department.
- Develop and initiate management plans for clients.
- Assess clients’ lakes and/or ponds and initiate the appropriate management protocol.
- Perform water and sediment sampling.
- Conduct aquatic plant sampling and identification.
- Install aeration systems and decorative fountains.
Qualifications
- Well organized, highly motivated, and able to work well with a team of professionals.
- Current Indiana (IN) driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Appointed to drive combination truck/trailer (non‑CDL) and operate motor vehicles.
- Capable of working from small boats and strong swimming ability.
Special Conditions of Employment
- Must obtain an applicator license within 30 days of employment. Training materials will be provided.
Physical Requirements
- Lift up to 50 lbs.
- Bend at waist and/or knees and lift arms at/over shoulder.
- Work extended hours in all weather conditions.
