Job Posting: Farm Petting Zookeeper
We are hiring at our boutique petting farm for an individual who will complete animal care taking and public engagement duties, with above average reliability and accountability . This job requires you to work weekends.
Your job will focus around keeping our farm zoo animals well cared for, keeping a clean and tidy barn space and guiding our customers through fun and friendly encounters with our resident farm animals.
Your duties will include:
Providing morning feed, water and care for our miniature petting zoo animals.
Morning barn cleaning chores.
Leading animal encounters for registered participants.
Working directly with customers, troubleshooting, providing customer service and taking payments.
Assisting with facilitating birthday parties and events on farm, including: crafts, activities, games and more.
Assisting with animal care on the production end of our farm.​
Total work hours hours vary slightly depending on daily animal encounter scheduling, about 10-16 hours/week. Hours vary but we require Friday/Saturday/Sunday availability.
North Bend, WA based.
Requisites:
21 or older
Strong – can lift, push and pull 50#
Comfortable working solo
Some animal experience
Reliable transportation to and from work
Great customer service skills.
Outgoing, accountable, detail oriented, self-directed, good communication skills
Job Types: Seasonal, Part-time
Pay: From $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 8 – 26 per week
