We are seeking an experienced, hands-on, and results-driven Farm Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our farming division. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing staff, coordinating daily farming activities, ensuring high standards of productivity and quality, and maintaining the efficient operation of the farm.
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years experience in farm management or agricultural operations.
- Relevant qualification in Agriculture, Farm Management, Horticulture, or a related field will be advantageous.
- Proven experience managing large teams and coordinating daily farm operations.
- Strong leadership, planning, and organisational skills.
- Experience with plant production, irrigation, landscaping, and general farm maintenance.
- Knowledge of inventory and storeroom management.
- Good understanding of health and safety requirements within an agricultural environment.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Strong administrative skills, including reporting, timesheet management, and record keeping.
- Computer literacy (Microsoft Office).
- Valid driver’s licence.
- Willingness to travel between company sites when required.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee all daily farming operations and production activities.
- Lead, supervise, and develop farm supervisors and employees.
- Plan and allocate daily work to ensure operational efficiency.
- Monitor staff productivity, attendance, and performance.
- Ensure production targets and project deadlines are achieved.
- Oversee irrigation, landscaping, planting, harvesting, and farm maintenance activities.
- Maintain high standards of quality across all farming operations.
- Monitor and manage farm equipment, machinery, and company assets.
- Oversee storeroom operations, inventory control, and stock reporting.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety policies and company procedures.
- Prepare operational reports and provide regular updates to management.
- Identify opportunities to improve productivity, efficiency, and cost management.
