NW TN Veterinary Services, LLC is seeking a Farm Laborer to care for our Equine Training Facility. Located in Fulton, KY, our facility includes an 11 stall main barn, a separate quarantine barn/paddocks, indoor and outdoor arenas, and three large turnout paddocks. As a Farm laborer, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the farm, including horse care, and maintenance. Our ideal candidate would have experience with farm management and maintenance, and horse care and handling. Candidates should be comfortable using a tractor, driving a truck and trailer, lifting at least 50 pounds, and operating general maintenance equipment such as lawn mowers, weed eaters, and power tools. Applicants should have the ability to operate independently and have strong equipment experience. Looking for an individual with a strong agriculture background, solid character, team player, and has a strong core of values. “`Duties“`
– Plan and coordinate daily farm activities, including stall cleaning, turn-out and property maintanence.
– Daily feed and watering
– Manage horses and ensure their health and well-being
– Maintain farm equipment and perform routine maintenance as needed
– Stall Cleaning,
– Barn repair and construction
– Ordering hay and grain
– Mixing of individual rations
– Daily horse handling, leading, grooming, tacking, bathing and turn-out.

To be successful in this role, you should have the following experience:
– Previous experience in farm work or a related field
– Basic math skills for calculating measurements and quantities
– Knowledge of equine care and handling
– Familiarity with hand tools commonly used in farming operations
– Proficiency in operating power tools safely
– Understanding of animal care best practices
– Comfortable driving a truck and trailer
– Comfortable using a tractor, lawn mower and other maintenance equipment.
