Overview
Farm Crew Jobs in Sonoma, USA at Paul’s Produce
About the Farm
Paul’s Produce is a 10 acre mixed-vegetable farm, which lies on the rich, valley soils just outside the town of Sonoma. In over 35 years of operation, the farm has developed a system of vegetable production that has earned us a reputation for consistency and exceptional quality. About half of what we grow is sold at our local farmer’s market and to near‑by businesses;
the other half goes through a regional co‑op distributor called FEED Sonoma, of which we are a proud member. We make our own compost and make custom tools in the shop, which allows us to meet the challenges of organic vegetable production with thrift and ingenuity. We are continually adjusting to the unique rhythm of each season and building on the lessons we learn.
About
the Position
You will be joining a small crew of experienced farmhands and will be working closely with our crew leader. The bulk of the work is harvesting, washing and packing produce. But we will also be planting and cultivating our crops weekly, as well as occasional projects around the farm. We want someone who is friendly, professional and attentive to detail; has a strong work ethic, good communication skills and enjoys being part of a team.
Some previous farm experience or Spanish speaking ability is highly valued but not necessary. The work can be strenuous, so a certain level of physical capability, stamina and a tolerance for being in the elements is a must. Thankfully, we can offer an affordable rental on a nearby farm to whoever takes this position.

- Compensation is 20$/hr.
- Affordable housing available.
- Benefits include access to farm produce.
- Position begins in April and ends in December, with flexibility on exact dates.

Requirements and Expectations
- To show up on time, prepared for work.
- To intend to work for the entire season (from April-December).
- To be able to lift 50lb occasionally and 30lb repeatedly, without strain.
- To be comfortable outdoors in a variety of conditions: cold, heat, wind, rain.
- To be capable (physically and mentally) of repetitive work.
- To be co-operative and communicative with others at work.
- To be open and responsive to constructive feedback.
