Role Description Factory Workers at WGNI Farm support daily processing and handling of agricultural products within the farm’s production facilities. Responsibilities include operating basic machinery, sorting and packing produce, and assisting with loading, unloading, and movement of materials around the site. Team members help maintain cleanliness and safety standards, follow quality control procedures, and report any equipment or product issues promptly. The role involves working closely with supervisors and colleagues to meet production targets and ensure efficient workflow across greenhouse, open field, and livestock-related processing areas. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Abeokuta.
Qualifications
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate loads, and work in a farm factory environment.
- Strong willingness to learn new tasks across crop production, greenhouse operations, and food processing.
- Attention to detail, reliability, and willingness to follow safety and hygiene protocols.
- Ability to perform product handling, sorting, and packing tasks efficiently and safely, including cassava, peanut, and chili pepper processing.
- Experience or willingness to learn crop production tasks including planting, weeding, harvesting, and greenhouse maintenance
- Basic machine operation skills for agricultural or processing equipment (graters, dryers, mills, presses, or similar), or willingness to be trained.
- Experience or willingness to learn forklift operation and safe material handling
- Attention to detail, reliability, and willingness to follow safety and hygiene protocols.
- Ability to work effectively in a diverse team and follow instructions from supervisors.
- Previous experience in factory, farm, or food processing operations is an advantage.
