Ethio Impact Consulting Plc is seeking a Factory Manageron behalf of Our Private Client request.

The Factory Manager oversees all manufacturing operations to ensure the efficient, safe, and cost-effective production of steel products while maintaining quality standards and meeting customer delivery requirements.

Responsibilities include Plan, organize, and supervise daily factory operations. Manage production scheduling and workforce allocation. Ensure compliance with quality standards and customer specifications.

Implement Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives .

Role Description<

The Factory Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. This position is responsible for overseeing daily manufacturing operations, including planning production schedules, coordinating resources, and ensuring that output meets quality, safety, and efficiency standards. The Factory Manager will monitor production performance, implement process improvements, enforce compliance with health and safety regulations, and maintain equipment and facility readiness. The role involves Implement Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives . Monitor production costs and improve operational efficiency.

Ensure workplace safety and compliance with occupational health regulations. Coordinate with procurement, warehouse, quality control, and logistics departments. Prepare production reports and performance metrics.

Lead, train, and evaluate production personnel. Investigate production issues and implement corrective actions. Ensure environmental compliance and proper waste management.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess strong Production Planning and Production Management skills to effectively schedule, coordinate, and oversee manufacturing activities.
  • Candidates should possess solid Quality Control and Operations Management skills to maintain product standards and ensure smooth, reliable factory processes.
  • Candidates should possess experience in Manufacturing Operations to manage workflows, optimize resource utilization, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to guide diverse teams, delegate tasks, and foster a culture of safety and accountability.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in steel manufacturing and at least 4 years in a managerial position
