Job Description
We are looking for an RVT or equivalent to join our veterinary urgent care team. MUST have a minimum of 3 years experience working full-time in veterinary medicine, bonus if you’ve worked in an emergency setting.
We’re a small/medium sized veterinary urgent care and have a positive, non-toxic work environment. The ideal candidate is a good communicator and co-operator, can be compassionate and thorough when communicating with clients, has excellent technical skills, can work in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment, and is open to both learning and teaching others. Surgery experience is a plus.
Must be skilled in assessing and monitoring vital signs, animal restraint, phlebotomy, placing IV catheters, performing ultrasound-guided cystocentesis, running in-house labwork, performing digital radiographs, setting up and running CRI’s, administering infusions of blood products and antivenin, performing drug calculations, and have a good working knowledge of both oral and injectable medications. Must be able to keep busy during down time, including cleaning and stocking the hospital.
Consistent and reliable transportation is a must. The ideal candidate is a team player and understands that their attendance is vital to everyone being able to do their job and take excellent care of animals.
Wages start at $30/hr and there are many benefits/perks to the job.
