Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Veterinary Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in providing high-quality care to our animal patients and support our veterinary staff in various clinical procedures.
Duties
– Assist veterinarians in routine examinations and surgical procedures
– Perform laboratory tests such as urinalysis and blood counts
– Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed by veterinarians
– Take and develop X-rays
– Provide compassionate care and handling of animals during examinations and treatments
– Maintain accurate medical records
– Educate pet owners on proper animal care and medication administration
Qualifications
– Certification or Associate Degree in Veterinary Technology preferred, but not required.
– Proficiency in animal care, handling, and restraint techniques
– Knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal physiology, and husbandry
– Experience with X-ray procedures is a plus
– Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment
