Job description:
Veterinary Technician (2+ Years Technician Experience Required)
We are seeking a motivated, experienced Veterinary Technician to join our growing team! The ideal candidate is a team player who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and is willing to help wherever needed to support patient care and clinic flow. Our hospital is General practice and Urgent Care and open 9am-10pm Mon-Fr and 9:30am-7pm Saturdays
Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):
- Minimum of 2 years of veterinary technician experience – Technician should need minimal training
- Strong technical and animal-handling skills
- Ability to multitask, stay organized and on track without supervision or guidance
- Positive attitude with a willingness to assist in all areas of the hospital
- Rooming appointments and assisting doctors during exams
- Performing routine technician duties (TPR,lab work, treatments, patient care, restraint, etc.)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds with assistance
- Urgent Care Duties ——————
- Triage and assess urgent and emergency patients
- Assist with patient stabilization, IV catheter placement, and fluid therapy
- Administer medications and monitor vital signs
- Assist with diagnostics (lab work, radiographs)
- Technician should be able to provide wound care, bandaging, and assist with emergency procedures
- Monitor hospitalized and critical patients
- Support client communication and discharge instructions
- Always maintain accurate medical records and a clean, organized treatment area
- Supporting overall hospital operations and jumping in wherever help is needed which includes reception (Having system experience with idexx neo is a plus!)
- Ideal candidate has open availability as our schedule can fluctuate. Compensation:
- depending on experience and skill level ( $21-$26 )
