Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Experienced Veterinary Technician to join our dynamic veterinary team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive veterinary experience, demonstrating proficiency in animal care, medical procedures, and client communication. Duties
- Assist veterinarians with a wide range of medical procedures including anesthesia administration, radiology diagnostics, and surgical assistance.
- Perform laboratory work such as phlebotomy, diagnostic testing, and sample analysis to support accurate diagnoses.
- Handle animal restraint and animal handling techniques for various species including dogs, cats, and exotics ensuring safety for both animals and staff.
- Operate medical equipment including X-ray machines, anesthesia monitors, and laboratory instruments with precision and adherence to aseptic techniques.
- Manage vascular access procedures such as IV insertion and animal catheterization while maintaining strict sterile conditions.
- Support emergency medicine efforts by assisting in critical & intensive care cases, medication administration, and maintaining detailed patient records using veterinary software.
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding pet health concerns, treatment plans, and post-procedure care instructions while demonstrating empathy and professionalism.
Qualifications
- Proven veterinary technician experience with a strong foundation in animal physiology, anatomy, and veterinary terminology.
- Demonstrated proficiency in veterinary critical care, anesthesia monitoring, laboratory work, radiology diagnostics, and emergency medicine procedures.
- Kennel experience along with dog handling skills.
- Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures related to pet dentistry; experience with dental terminology is preferred.
- Ability to operate medical equipment such as X-ray machines and laboratory analyzers accurately.
- Strong animal husbandry skills combined with expertise in animal restraint and animal catheterization techniques.
- Excellent communication skills for client interaction; ability to explain medical information clearly and compassionately.
- Certification as a veterinary technician or equivalent qualification is advantageous…as is additional certifications in anesthesia or laboratory work.

Pay: $25.00 – $30.00 per hour
