Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Veterinary Receptionist / Client Service Representative (CSR) to join our front desk team.
The ideal candidate is friendly, organized, dependable, and comfortable working in a busy veterinary hospital environment. This position will work closely with our doctors and medical team to help clients understand their pet’s care and ensure a smooth experience from scheduling through follow-up.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys veterinary client service and wants to build a long-term career with a privately owned practice.
Responsibilities
- Welcome clients and pets with a friendly and professional approach.
- Answer phones, respond to emails, and assist clients with questions about their pet’s care.
- Schedule appointments and help maintain an organized front desk flow.
- Check clients in and out, process payments, and review estimates and invoices.
- Maintain accurate medical records and client information.
- Communicate recommendations, treatment plans, and next steps with clients.
- Provide client education on wellness care, preventive medicine, and veterinary services.
- Work closely with veterinarians and medical staff to support patient care.
- Handle client concerns with patience, professionalism, and compassion.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area.
Experience & Qualifications
- Previous experience as a veterinary receptionist, veterinary CSR, client service representative, or veterinary front desk team member (required).
- Knowledge of veterinary terminology and common veterinary services.
- Experience scheduling appointments, communicating with clients, maintaining records, and processing payments.
- Strong customer service skills and professional communication.
- Ability to stay organized and manage multiple tasks in a busy environment.
- Comfortable using computers and learning veterinary practice management software.
- Ability to work well with doctors, technicians, and other team members.
- Reliable, dependable, and committed to providing excellent client service.
- Experience with Covetrus Pulse PIMS a plus.
