Summary
We are seeking a Veterinary Assistant to join our team at The Pet Doctor. In this role, you will support veterinarians in delivering exceptional care to our patients, assisting with various procedures and ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for both pets and their owners.
Responsibilities
Assist veterinarians during examinations and surgical procedures.
Provide compassionate care to animals in the clinic.
Administer medications and treatments as directed by the veterinarian.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the clinic and equipment.
Handle animal restraint during procedures to ensure safety.
Perform routine tasks such as taking vital signs and preparing animals for examinations.
Educate pet owners on proper animal care and wellness practices.
Requirements
Experience in a veterinary or animal care setting preferred.
Strong knowledge of veterinary terminology and animal care practices.
Ability to handle animals safely and compassionately.
Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients and team members.
Basic knowledge of veterinary critical care is a plus.
Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
