Seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant or Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT)

Salary:
$20-$28/hour based on experience, skills, and licensure status.

Work Environment:
2 Doctor Practice (Dr Sandy Hazanow and Dr Kyle Crowson)
30-minute appointments with 1-hour lunch break
Four-day x 10 hour shift – 3 day weekends

We are looking for someone with at least 3 years of veterinary experience who is:
A team player and wants a positive, stress free workplace.
Passionate about animal care and client communication
Comfortable with a wide range of veterinary tasks and medical procedures
Able to work well in a collaborative environment
Enthusiastic about learning
Skill set:
Dog and Cat restraint
I.V catheter placement
Venipuncture
Running in-house lab work and preparing to send out
Taking radiographs
Familiarity with veterinary medications
Calculating medication doses
Administering medications
Inducing Anesthesia (R.V.T.)
Intubating (R.V.T.)
Surgical monitoring
Client communication and education (excellent written and verbal skills)
Knowledge of medical terminology
Computer use
Able to lift patients and carry equipment up to 40 pounds
Able to work on hospital floor surfaces for duration of shift
Ensure clients feel heard and comfortable
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 – $28.00 per hour
