Job Description Summary: The Veterinary Assistant is a key member of the hospital team who supports and assists Veterinarians in ensuring the safety of pets, clients, and other associates. We are looking for reliable individuals who have the ability to work independently as well as with others. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Animal restraint, customer service, organization skills, fast paced, veterinary knowledge/terminology, and good communication.
Skills: X-Rays imaging, collect and perform laboratory tests, prepare for animals and instruments for surgeries, administer vaccinations, administer medications, IV Catheter placement and other treatments as directed by the Veterinarian, and the ability to record medical notes.
Experience: 3 years experience in Veterinary field preferred.
Knowledge of ezyvet software a plus
