Our busy practice located in Avon is a state-of-the-art veterinary hospital with a caring and trained team. We focus on the special relationship between the pets and their owners. We are looking for smiling faces who can work full-time providing compassionate, exceptional client service. Successful candidate must be able to multi-task, prioritize, handle extensive phone work, and maintain a professional, upbeat manner. As a Client Care Specialist, you will serve as a focal point for communicating with pet owners regarding wellness care and other health-related issues, including greeting clients, scheduling appointments, educating our clients about the best care available for their pets, assisting with the maintenance of medical records, and processing payments. Ideal candidate shows willingness and aptitude to take appropriate steps in finding solutions to problems; presents options and ideas to enhance current processes or procedure and takes on additional responsibility when both big and small tasks need to be done. Schedule flexibility is required, and will include rotating Saturday shifts. Any offer of employment will be contingent upon a negative drug screening.

Requirements

 Knowledge of general office practices and procedures, Client Care Specialist (receptionist) duties, and telephone techniques.
 Demonstrated ability to perform clerical work with speed and accuracy, use a multiple-line telephone system, and handle cash and other forms of payment.
 Experience assembling patient records, obtaining relevant information from clients, and accurately entering a variety of information in patient records.
 Demonstrated ability to show empathy toward clients and treat animals with respect and compassion.
 Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb as well as manipulate (lift, carry, move) up to 40 pounds without assistance and objects weighing more than 40 pounds with assistance.
 Ability to stay on task and work energetically for entire shift.
 Knowledge of veterinary medical terminology and procedures and general computer skills.
 1+ years relevant experience in a veterinary hospital environment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $19.00 per hour
