Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate experienced Kennel Technician to join our team. As a Kennel Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the well-being of animals in our care while providing excellent customer service to pet owners.
Responsibilities
Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, grooming, medicating and exercising.
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kennel facilities, including cleaning cages and common areas.
Monitor the health and behavior of animals, reporting any concerns to the management or veterinary staff.
Handle animals safely and effectively, utilizing proper animal restraint techniques when necessary.
Support pet owners with information about services offered by the facility.
Assist in managing the check-in and check-out process for pets, ensuring a smooth experience for customers.
Collaborate with team members to create a safe and welcoming environment for both pets and their owners.
Skills
Strong knowledge of animal care practices, including feeding, grooming, and basic health monitoring.
Experience in dog training or handling is highly desirable.
Familiarity with kennel operations and pet grooming techniques is a plus.
Excellent customer service skills to interact positively with pet owners.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
Proficient in animal restraint methods to ensure safety during handling.
Good work ethic and desire to provide a safe, clean environment for our patient.
