Position: STEPS Equine Research Farm Worker
Required License/Registration/Certification:
Physical Requirements:
Standing and walking for long periods of time, pushing and lifting 50 pounds.
Shift:
Weekends and some holiday work required, with a variable 5 day/37.5 work week.
If working over 30 hours per week, you may be eligible for health benefits.
Job Summary:
The Veterinary Department at UK is seeking a STEPS Equine Research Farm Worker to assist with horse care and general farm maintenance at Woodford Farm in Versailles, KY. This includes daily care and feeding of horses, as well as farm maintenance such as mowing and weed eating.

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities:
Farm experience, experience with horses, and routine animal care.
Does this position have supervisory responsibilities?
No.
Preferred Education/
Experience:
Horse or large animal background/farm experience.
