As a Veterinary Technician Manager, you will…
Demonstrate highly advanced proficiency as a Veterinary Technician or Advanced Patient Care Associate within their department, maintaining all related skills and knowledge.
Create effective working relationships with hospital leadership to ensure standards of care are understood, communicated, and delivered.
Serve as a subject-matter expert and resource to Technicians and Assistants regarding daily operations, patient care, and skill development.
Mentor staff by demonstrating positive work habits, effective clinical skills, and business knowledge.
Identify conflicts in the workplace and seek assistance in resolution to foster effective working relationships.
Coach staff to create a culture of strong performance and high productivity.
Communicate clearly with team members to ensure understanding of new ideas, protocol changes, policies, and updates.
Build positive relationships across the hospital and administration to promote teamwork.
Implement process improvement initiatives.
Coordinate with the Technician Training Manager to schedule ongoing training.
Document performance issues, assess team members during annual reviews, and provide recommendations to hospital leadership regarding performance management and discipline.
Perform other duties as assigned.
