Our client’s hospital is seeking a skilled and compassionate Emergency Veterinarian to join their growing team south of San Francisco, in San Mateo County, CA! Compensation:
Base Salary: $150,000 – $250,000 (commensurate with experience)
Production/Commission: 20% – 23%
What You’ll Do:
- Triage, diagnose, and treat a wide variety of emergent and critical conditions in companion animals
- Perform emergency procedures and surgeries, including stabilization of critically ill or injured patients
- Collaborate closely with specialists, technicians, and support staff to provide coordinated, round-the-clock care
- Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients during high-stress, emotional situations
- Maintain thorough, accurate medical records and ensure smooth handoffs between shifts
- Stay current on best practices in emergency and critical care medicine
What We’re Looking For:
✔️ DVM degree with an active veterinary license
✔️ Experience in emergency medicine preferred; strong general practitioners with a passion for ER medicine are welcome to apply
✔️ Excellent clinical judgment and the ability to make confident decisions under pressure
✔️ Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
