We are currently seeking Emergency and Critical Care (ECC) Veterinary Nurses to join our dedicated team and contribute to the success of our brand-new hospital in Moorabbin!
As an ECC Veterinary Nurse, you will play a vital role in delivering top-notch emergency and critical care services to our patients, ensuring they receive the highest level of medical attention and support.
Key Responsibilities
Provide exceptional nursing care to critically ill and injured patients under the supervision of our skilled veterinarians
Monitor patients’ vital signs and response to treatment, making necessary adjustments as required
Assist with emergency procedures, surgeries, and diagnostics
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the veterinarian
Maintain accurate medical records and communicate effectively with the veterinary team and pet owners
Participate in continuous learning and development to enhance skills and knowledge in ECC nursing
Requirements
Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or equivalent qualification
Applicants currently studying their Certificate IV will be considered!
Proficiency in IV catheter placement, blood sampling, and anesthesia monitoring advantageous
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to remain calm and focused in high-pressure situations
A genuine passion for providing exceptional care to animals and their owners
Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as part of a rotating roster
