A well-established partner hospital in Merritt Island, FL is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Associate Veterinarian to join their team. This family-owned practice offers comprehensive medical, surgical, and dental care for dogs, cats, and other small animals. Located on the beautiful Central East Coast of Florida, this hospital provides an exceptional work environment with a focus on high-quality care, client relationships, and work-life balance.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide exceptional medical care for dogs, cats, and small animals
Perform physical exams, diagnostic tests, surgeries, and anesthesia
Diagnose and treat illnesses and injuries in patients
Manage emergency medicine cases
Educate and communicate with clients regarding their pets’ health and treatment plans
Collaborate with a supportive clinical team to ensure the highest level of patient care
Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise:
DVM/VMD degree from an AVMA-accredited college (or successful completion of the ECFVG or PAVE program)
Active license in good standing to practice in Florida (or ability to obtain licensure)
Experience in a variety of clinical settings, including general practice, surgery, and emergency medicine
Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team
Compassionate and patient-centered approach to veterinary care
