What You’ll Do

  • Safely supervise large groups of dogs in open playrooms
  • Learn canine body language and behavior to maintain a safe environment
  • Create a fun, structured, and enriching experience for every dog
  • Maintain exceptional cleanliness throughout the facility
  • Work as part of a fast-paced team where safety always comes first
  • Deliver the level of care that earns our pet parents’ trust every day

Our Training Program

Every new hire receives a structured training program designed to set you up for success.

Training includes:

  • In-store online coursework (with some assignments completed at home)
  • 2-4 weeks of hands-on shadowing with experienced Coaches and our Canine Coach Trainer
  • Supervised room management before independently handling playgroups

We don’t rush training. We make sure every Coach is confident working with dogs of all breeds, sizes, and play styles before managing a room independently.

Requirements

  • Reliable transportation is required
  • Must be willing to travel between our Bearden and Farragut locations as business needs require and for training purposes
  • Must be dependable with excellent attendance
  • Able to stand and walk for 6+ hours
  • Able to lift 50+ pounds
  • Weekend availability
  • Holidays required for Full-Time employees

Preferred Experience

We strongly encourage applicants with experience in:

  • Veterinary clinics
  • Veterinary technician roles
  • Dog daycare
  • Boarding facilities
  • Kennels
  • Dog training
  • Professional animal handling
  • Leadership and/or management roles

Important Information

This is an active, physically demanding position where no two days are the same. You’ll be cleaning, moving, training, supervising dogs, and working as part of a team that depends on one another every day.

During your first month, hours may vary while you complete training. Team members who demonstrate exceptional performance, reliability, and leadership will have opportunities for increased hours, advancement, and continued professional development.

All employees are able to bring their pup to work with them, as long as they pass our standard meet and greet/temperament test!

Pay: $13.50 – $15.00 per hour
