Description
Do you want to be a part of the positive impact we make to our dogs lives everyday?
We’re looking for a Dog Welfare Supervisor, who will motivate, manage and support our Dog Welfare Assistants, as they provide excellent care to all dogs living in the rehoming centre.
What does this role do?
- Supervise and support Dog Welfare Assistants to ensure our four-legged friends get their daily exercise, training and enrichment, and that their kennels are clean and comfortable until we find them a forever home.
- Co‑ordinate the kennel block, helping with induction and training, completing monthly supervisions, and making sure Dog Welfare Assistants feel supported at work.
- Continuously drive high standards of dog care, ensuring processes and procedures are followed.
- Occasionally act as site supervisor, on a rota basis.
Could this be you?
- Excellent knowledge of dog welfare and experience of working in rehoming.
- Lead by example, as you’ll be supervising staff as they complete day‑to‑day tasks without line managing people.
- Positive and pro‑active attitude and ambition to make sure dogs receive the best standard of care.
- A full, manual driving licence is essential, as driving will be a part of the role.

Our rehoming centres house thousands of dogs each year until they find a loving home, and the success of our centres wouldn’t be possible without our dedicated team of staff and volunteers; there is a real family‑community within each of our centres.
