Location: Do Better Training – St. Charles, IL
Pay: $18/hour
Schedule:
- Monday: 2:00 PM – 7:00 PM
- Tuesday – Wednesday: Off
- Thursday – Friday: 2:00 PM – 7:00 PM
- Saturday – Sunday: 7:00 AM – 12:00 PM and 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM
This is an afternoon/evening and weekend role with split shifts on Saturdays and Sundays. Candidates must be available for the full schedule as listed.

We are looking for a Dog Trainer / Front Desk / Kennel Assistant to join our team. This part-time position is ideal for someone with experience in dog daycare, boarding, shelters, dog training, or other pet care settings who is passionate about both animal welfare and customer service.
Responsibilities
Front Desk & Client Interaction
- Greet clients and provide excellent customer service
- Check dogs in and out for boarding, daycare, and training services
- Answer phones and respond to emails
- Assist with scheduling and administrative tasks
- Assist with social media (taking photos/videos)
Cleaning & Facility Upkeep
- Wash dishes and do laundry
- Vacuum, mop, and maintain cleanliness in the office and kennel areas
- Assist with kennel cleaning to ensure a sanitary environment
Dog Training / Handling & Supervision
- Escort dogs to and from kennels safely
- Monitor playgroups, ensuring safe and positive interactions
- Use fear-free handling techniques to reduce stress in dogs
- Administer training plans
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience in dog training (required)
- Fear Free Certification – training level (required)
- Pet Professional Guild membership or affiliation (preferred)
- Previous experience in a dog daycare, boarding facility, shelter, or similar pet care role
- Comfortable handling dogs of all sizes and temperaments
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
