We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and welfare, providing essential support in a kennel environment. This role involves caring for various animals, ensuring their well-being, and maintaining a clean and safe environment. The Kennel Technician will work closely with pets and their owners, contributing to a positive experience for both.
Duties
Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, watering, and exercising.
Maintain cleanliness of kennels and common areas to ensure a hygienic environment.
Monitor the health and behavior of animals, reporting any concerns to veterinary staff.
Assist with animal restraint during examinations or treatments as needed.
Groom pets as required, including bathing and brushing.
Support dog training initiatives by reinforcing basic commands and behaviors.
Handle heavy lifting when moving supplies or assisting with larger animals.
Maintain accurate records of animal care and behavior that occur during shifts.
Qualifications
Previous experience in pet care is preferred but not required
Strong skills in animal handling and restraint techniques.
Knowledge of basic grooming practices is an advantage.
Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks associated with animal care.
Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with pet owners and team members.

Pay: $13.00 – $13.50 per hour
