Dog Care Assistant (Part-Time) — Ducktown Lodge
Ducktown Lodge is a small, family-owned dog boarding and training facility located in North Forsyth (Silver City / Cumming area). We keep things intentionally low-volume so every dog gets real attention, not just basic care.
This is not a high-volume kennel job. It’s a steady, hands-on role for someone who takes pride in doing things well, even when no one is watching.
Who this is for

Previous kennel or dog experience is a plus, but not required. We’re happy to train the right person.

What the job actually looks like
Day-to-day work includes:
- Feeding dogs and maintaining their routines
- Letting dogs out multiple times a day (in all weather conditions)
- Cleaning suites and maintaining a calm, orderly space
- Being outside regularly, regardless of heat or cold
This is physical, hands-on work. It’s simple, but it matters.
Schedule & Availability
This role requires flexibility and reliability.
- Hours vary depending on the season
- Peak seasons (summer, fall, holidays): 15+ hours per week
- Slower seasons: may be reduced to only a few hours per week
You must be available for:
- Weekend shifts
- Holidays and peak travel seasons
Location Requirement – Please don’t apply if you don’t live close; within a 10 mile radius is preferred.
