Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Kennel Assistant to join our animal care team. This role is essential in ensuring the comfort, health, and happiness of the animals in our facility. The ideal candidate is dependable, physically capable of handling daily tasks, and truly passionate about animal welfare.
Key Responsibilities
Provide daily care for dogs and other animals, including feeding, grooming, and exercise.
Ensure all kennels and communal areas are clean, sanitized, and well-maintained.
Observe and report any signs of illness, injury, or behavioral changes in animals to veterinary staff or supervisors.
Safely handle animals during feeding, cleaning, exercise, or medical care.
Support pet owners by answering questions and offering basic animal care advice.
Assist with administrative tasks such as updating records and scheduling appointments.
Qualifications & Skills
Previous experience in animal care, pet sitting, grooming, or veterinary assistance is preferred.
Comfortable with physical tasks including lifting large dogs or heavy supplies.
Basic knowledge of dog training is helpful, but not required—willingness to learn is essential.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with team members and pet owners.
A sincere passion for animals and a strong sense of responsibility toward their well-being.
