Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the care and well-being of animals in our facility. You will ensure that all pets receive the attention, cleanliness, and care they deserve while providing excellent customer service to pet owners. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about animal welfare and enjoy working in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, grooming, and exercising pets.
Maintain cleanliness of kennels and common areas to ensure a safe and healthy environment.
Monitor the health and behavior of animals.
Assist with animal restraint during grooming as needed.
Engage with pet owners, providing updates on their pets’ well-being and addressing any questions or concerns.
Ensure all safety protocols are followed to protect both animals and staff.
Experience
Previous experience in pet care or animal handling is preferred but not required.
Familiarity with pet grooming techniques is a plus.
Experience in customer service is beneficial for effective communication with pet owners.
Knowledge of veterinary practices or experience as a veterinary assistant is an advantage.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
