Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dog Kennel Assistant to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring the well-being and care of animals in our facility. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and a commitment to providing excellent service to pet owners. As a Kennel Assistant, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment while attending to the needs of our furry guests.
Duties
Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, letting outside and administering medications as needed.
Maintain cleanliness of kennels, play areas, and common spaces to ensure a hygienic environment.
Monitor the health and behavior of animals, reporting any concerns to staff or management.
Engage with pet owners, providing updates on their pets’ activities and well-being.
Support dog training sessions and socialization activities as required.
Ensure that all safety protocols are followed to protect both animals and staff.
Qualifications
Knowledge of basic animal care practices and behavior is beneficial.
Strong customer service skills to effectively communicate with pet owners.
Ability to handle various breeds and temperaments of dogs safely and confidently.
Experience or training in dog training or veterinary technician skills is a plus.
Must be physically capable of performing tasks such as lifting animals and cleaning facilities.
A genuine love for animals and commitment to their welfare is essential.

Pay: $15.00 per hour
