Traction K9 Kennels is a contact-free boarding facility where aggressive, reactive, and intact dogs are not handled by people. Each dog stays in their own luxury indoor suite with a dog door to a private outdoor space that’s available to them 24/7.
A Behaviorist with a Masters Degree in Animal Psychology & Neuroscience lives on site full time and is always primarily responsible for dogs on site.

Summary
We are seeking a Kennel Assistant to handle weekend duties including feeding dogs, cleaning kennels, sending report cards to dog owners, being present for 5-minute contact free drop-offs and pick-ups, and weekly deep cleaning.
As most of the dogs in our care are human aggressive, the Kennel Assistant will NOT be handling or interacting with these dogs. Our facility is designed to allow totally contact-free care of dangerous dogs. A Degreed & Certified Behaviorist/Trainer will be on site in case of emergency.
Weekend hours are 12pm – 5pm. The position will begin as either Saturdays or Sundays only, then eventually will allow for Saturdays and Sundays as desired.
** Future dog trainers may fill this role as a working student position in exchange for learning hours under our Behaviorist during behavior modification programs and our Head Trainer during in-home obedience training sessions. **
Requirements
Extremely outgoing, personable, and professional
Extremely confident when interacting with new people
You are a “neat freak” and find satisfaction in cleaning
Experience in animal care or kennel environments preferred
Quick leaner of new technology / software programs

In-person interviews will be conducted on site. We are located 5 minutes from the COTA racetrack.
One new Kennel Attendant will begin work on a 30-day trial period. You will begin immediately and be trained on the job.
