Job
We are seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic Dog Care Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care for dogs in a variety of settings. You will engage with dogs daily, ensuring their health, happiness, and safety during their time with us. If you are a dog lover with experience in animal care, we would love to have you on board!
Key Responsibilities
Provide daily care, feeding, and exercise for dogs in a positive and nurturing environment.
Monitor the health and behavior of dogs, reporting any concerns to the management team.
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in all dog care areas, including play spaces, kennels, and common areas.
Engage with dogs through play and socialization, fostering their emotional and physical well-being.
Communicate clearly and effectively with dog owners regarding their dogs’ behavior and any concerns that may arise.
Assist in grooming and bathing as needed, ensuring dogs are well-groomed and comfortable.
Follow safety protocols and procedures to protect both dogs and staff.
Collaborate with the team to ensure a high standard of care and service is maintained.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications in animal care or training a plus.
Previous experience working with dogs in a professional setting (dog daycare, grooming, veterinary, training) is required for bonus.
Passion for animal care and a strong understanding of dog behavior.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
Physically capable of lifting, carrying, and handling dogs of various sizes.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
