Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Dog Bather/Receptionist to join our grooming shop. This dual-role position involves providing exceptional pet grooming services and delivering outstanding customer service to pet owners. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animals, strong communication skills, and the ability to handle multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience with animal handling, pet grooming, and veterinary procedures is highly desirable.
Duties
- Bathing, grooming, and trimming dogs to ensure they look and feel their best
- Restraining animals safely during grooming procedures using proper animal handling techniques
- Assisting grooming staff with animal care tasks as needed
- Managing front desk responsibilities including greeting clients, scheduling appointments, and answering phone calls
- Maintaining a clean and organized grooming area and reception space
- Providing excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns professionally
- Handling pet sitting or boarding duties when required
- Assisting with heavy lifting of animals or supplies to support daily operations
Requirements
- Experience in pet grooming, animal handling, or kennel work preferred
- Knowledge of dog training and animal restraint techniques is desirable
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and comfortably
- Experience with pet sitting or animal care in a professional setting is advantageous
- Compassionate attitude towards animals and their owners
- Ability to work efficiently in a busy environment while maintaining attention to detail

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $14.00 – $15.00 per hour
