Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pet Bather to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a genuine love for animals and the ability to provide exceptional services to our furry clients. As a Pet Bather, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that pets are clean, comfortable, and well-cared for during their grooming sessions. Your attention to detail and ability to handle various breeds will contribute to the overall satisfaction of both pets and their owners.
Responsibilities
Bathe, dry, according to breed standards and owner preferences.
Handle dogs of various sizes with care and confidence, ensuring their safety throughout the bathing process.
Maintain cleanliness of the bathing area, including equipment and supplies.
Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners regarding their pets’ needs and grooming preferences.
Assist in animal restraint during grooming procedures as necessary.
Monitor the behavior and health of pets during grooming sessions, reporting any concerns to management staff.
Maintain records of services provided and any special instructions from pet owners.
Experience
Strong customer service skills are essential for interacting with pet owners effectively.
Previous experience in dog handling or animal handling is preferred.
Familiarity with dog training techniques is a plus.
Experience as a veterinary assistant or veterinary technician is beneficial but not required.
Knowledge of animal restraint methods is an asset.
Background in equine care or kennel management can be advantageous.
Experience in pet sitting may also be considered relevant.
