Role Description The DME Medical Biller is responsible for handling end-to-end billing processes for durable medical equipment claims. This full-time, on-site role is based in Islamabad and involves reviewing patient information and prescriptions, verifying insurance coverage and benefits, and preparing accurate DME claims for submission to payers. The role includes posting payments, reconciling accounts, managing claim follow-up, and addressing denials or rejections in a timely manner. The DME Medical Biller will collaborate with clinicians, administrative staff, and insurance representatives to resolve billing issues and ensure compliance with payer guidelines and regulatory requirements. The position also involves maintaining detailed documentation, updating billing records in relevant systems, and supporting process improvements to enhance overall revenue cycle performance.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of DME medical billing processes, medical terminology, and basic medical coding; familiarity with insurance guidelines and payer policies.
  • Proficiency with billing software, electronic health record (EHR) or practice management systems, and standard office productivity tools.
  • Solid skills in claims submission, payment posting, denial management, and accounts reconciliation within a healthcare or DME setting.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry, documentation, and record-keeping, with the ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills for interacting with patients, providers, and insurance representatives in a professional manner.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to investigate claim issues and identify opportunities to improve billing efficiency.
  • Ability to work on-site in Islamabad, collaborate within a team environment, and maintain confidentiality and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Relevant education such as a diploma or degree in healthcare administration, finance, or a related field; prior experience in DME or medical billing is highly preferred.
