Details

The Director Communication will lead PHIMC’s communication, marketing, and public relations efforts. This pivotal position is responsible for shaping and managing the organization's public image, ensuring consistency across all internal and external communication channels, and fostering engagement with key stakeholders, media, and the general public.

The Director will provide strategic leadership in communication planning, crisis management, and brand development while aligning all messaging with the vision and priorities of the Punjab Health Initiative Management Company.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and implement comprehensive communication, marketing, and PR strategies that align with PHIMC’s health sector initiatives and enhance its public profile.
  • Develop and manage short- and long-term communication plans and budgets; monitor progress and evaluate effectiveness.
  • Anticipate emerging communication issues and design proactive solutions in collaboration with senior leadership.
  • Develop internal communication frameworks to promote transparency, engagement, and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Drive impactful external communication campaigns, including brand-building, media engagement, and digital outreach.
  • Manage all organizational social media accounts, ensuring timely, accurate, and engaging updates.
  • Oversee content development for press releases, publications, and digital platforms, maintaining consistent brand messaging.
  • Serve as the primary media liaison; build and sustain relationships with media partners and outlets.
  • Design and execute public awareness campaigns across Punjab through digital, print, electronic, and outdoor media.
  • Lead all PR, stakeholder engagement, and community outreach activities.
  • Define and track communication KPIs to measure impact and improve effectiveness.
  • Stay up to date with trends in communications, marketing, and digital media to introduce innovative practices.
  • Mentor and supervise the communications team to deliver high-quality output and meet organizational priorities.
  • Coordinate with district-level health entities and provide communication training and guidance.
  • Support policy formulation to maintain integrity and transparency in all communication initiatives.
  • Develop operational systems for efficient functioning of PHIMC’s communication department.
  • Gather and analyze stakeholder feedback to improve messaging and strategy.
  • Prepare strategic presentations and communication materials for the CEO’s office.

Requirements

Minimum 16 years of education (Masters/Bachelors Hons) in one of the following disciplines:

  • Mass Communication
  • Media Studies
  • Journalism
  • Marketing
  • Advertising
  • Business Administration
  • Media and Mass Communication
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant post-qualification experience in communications, marketing, PR, or media management (preferably in public sector or health-related organizations).
