Summary:
Position Summary:
Maintains effective communication with visitors, physician office managers, and participates in providing quality customer relations. Coordinates and provides complete administrative, and record keeping activities of the Diabetes and Nutrition Center. Assists Program Coordinator Manager and Clinical Staff with administrative activities.
Qualified individuals must have the ability with or without reasonable accommodation to perform the following duties:
Schedules and registers patients in the EHR across all department schedules, answers telephone and receives visitors and provides general directions, responds to inquiries or requests and maintains knowledge of pertinent data regarding all Diabetes and Nutrition Center programs.
Documents and maintains staff and committee meeting minutes, outcome data for nationally recognized program and class dates and schedules.
Builds and maintains templates for all department locations and schedules.
Orders office supplies for both inpatient and outpatient offices.
Coordinates daily work and administrative functions for Program coordinator Manager.
The following duties are considered secondary to the primary duties listed above:
Acts as Safety Coordinator and EPIC Referral Coordinator for Department.
Other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities:
Minimum Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent GED .
Two 2 years of experience in office coordination.
Three 3 years of customer service experience with excellent interpersonal skills.
Three 3 years of experience and proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
Preferred Qualifications:
Understanding of medical terminology.
One 1 year of experience with electronic health record preferably EPIC.
