Duration: 8-12 months starting May 1st. Possible integration with a full time role in our nursing team.

Join our dynamic team as a Deputy Nursing Manager while our current deputy is on maternity leave. Help us deliver outstanding patient care, support our talented team, and ensure smooth operations at FNQ’s only 24-hour emergency vet hospital.
What You’ll Do:
Staff Training & Mentoring: Ensure our team of Animal Attendants, Nursing Assistants, and Receptionists are supported and competent in their roles.
Roster Management: maintain the roster, ensuring all shifts are covered, including taking on shifts when other staff are unavailable.
Maintain High Standards: Monitor and support staff to follow hospital protocols, ensuring high-quality care.
Collaborate: Work closely with our Nursing Manager and Practice Manager to ensure smooth operations.
Admin: Working with our practice manager with client follow ups and stock control.
What We’re Looking For:
Strong organisation and communication skills.
Experience in a leadership role in a veterinary setting.
Cert IV or equivalent in veterinary nursing.
Ability to remain calm under pressure, with a supportive, professional attitude.
