About The Role
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse who values patient care and progression to join our team as Deputy Head Registered Veterinary Nurse.
Here at Elizabeth Street Veterinary Clinic, we have a really exciting and varied caseload where you’ll be fully involved in cases, giving you the opportunity to work within your own areas of interest – whether you are an all rounder and enjoy all areas of nursing, or maybe surgery, wards, anaesthesia, or intensive care is your thing, we are happy to foster your interests and help you become the RVN you strive to be.

As a Deputy Head Registered Veterinary Nurse at Elizabeth Street Veterinary Clinic, you will be working along side certificate holding Vets, a fantastic team of RVNs, highly trained VCAs, a fully committed customer care team (meaning no reception duties for you – allowing you to utilise those skills that you’ve dedicated so much time to gain), and an incredibly supportive Hospital Management team.
As Deputy HRVN, your duties will include day-to-day running of the floor and liaising with the senior management team, planning and improving strategies for performance on the floor, leading the development of the team of RVNs and VCAs, rota management, and most importantly – fostering a positive and collaborative team environment.
You’ll play an integral part of our dedicated day team, providing compassionate care and support to patients in need. We are looking for someone with strong clinical skills and the ability to handle emergency situations with confidence. You must have excellent communication skills and teamworking abilities and have a compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care.
