We are seeking a motivated and dependable Delivery Driver for veterinary lab specimen transportation in San Antonio and the surrounding areas.
In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently delivering laboratory specimens to the lab and other authorized locations, from various veterinary clinics.
Your energetic approach and commitment to safety will ensure timely deliveries while maintaining the highest standards of specimen integrity and customer service. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to vital veterinary health services through reliable transportation and exceptional client interactions.
*** You must have your own dependable, great gas mileage, vehicle to apply.
*** You must provide your own cooler and reusable ice packs for specimens.
Duties
- Safely operate your personal vehicle, adhering strictly to traffic regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards.
- Load, secure, and unload veterinary lab specimens.
- Plan and follow optimized delivery routes using mobile devices to ensure punctual pickups and drop-offs across designated areas.
- Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, including delivery logs, and specimen transfer records.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding route changes, delays, or issues encountered during deliveries.
- Ensure proper handling of specimens during transport to preserve their integrity, following safe practices and manual handling protocols.
- Provide excellent customer service by interacting professionally with clients at each veterinary office and delivery point.
Skills
- Valid driver’s license.
- Clean driving record.
- Clean background check.
- Prior experience in delivery driving helpful but not necessary.
- Strong understanding of traffic laws, and adherence to safety standards during delivery driving.
- Experience with mobile devices for navigation and communication is essential.
- Excellent customer service skills with a professional attitude when interacting with clients at various veterinary offices.
